MISHIMOTO Ford Focus RS Hot-Side Intercooler Pipe Kit, 2016-2018

Mishimoto completes the intercooler system lineup for the 2016–2018 Ford Focus RS with a hot‑side intercooler pipe engineered for both airflow efficiency and drivetrain cooling. This pipe increases internal volume by 40 percent over the factory unit and maintains an average 45‑percent reduction in pressure drop with 2.5‑inch inlet and outlet diameters. The cast mid‑section is designed to retain the factory ducting that directs airflow to the front PTU, addressing a known issue of drivetrain overheating during high‑load operation. Traditional cylindrical piping obstructs this airflow, while Mishimoto’s shaped design channels air cleanly to the PTU without loss.

Five‑ply, wire‑reinforced silicone couplers attach the pipe to the turbocharger and intercooler, providing superior heat resistance and flexibility to accommodate engine movement. The pipe installs without removing the lower crossbar, and the kit includes all necessary hardware for a direct‑fit upgrade with no modifications required.
