The Mishimoto Performance Air Intake Kit for the 2016–2021 Honda Civic 1.5T is engineered to improve airflow, enhance throttle response, and deliver consistent power gains on the L15B7 platform. Designed as a direct‑fit upgrade, this intake replaces restrictive factory components with high‑flow, reinforced parts that provide both performance benefits and a refined, aggressive induction tone under boost.

The silicone intake arm is reinforced with internal steel wire to maintain structural integrity under elevated temperatures and pressure. This design improves airflow while keeping intake‑air temperatures stable compared to aluminum alternatives. The black powder‑coated steel airbox shields the high‑performance filter from engine‑bay heat and reduces hydrolock risk by positioning the filter closer to the hood. The airbox also utilizes the factory hood‑mounted air diverter to ensure a steady supply of fresh air.

A venturi‑style MAF housing delivers smoother airflow than conventional designs, supporting consistent dyno‑proven gains of approximately 9 hp and 10 ft‑lbs of torque on the stock tune. This intake is fully bolt‑on, functions seamlessly with factory calibration, and is designed in the USA at Mishimoto’s Delaware headquarters.
