The Mishimoto Baffled Oil Catch Can Kit provides the S55 engine in the 2015–2020 BMW M3 and M4 with the protection required for consistent performance. The introduction of turbocharging to the compact M platform brought increased blow‑by, making an effective separation system essential for maintaining engine efficiency and long‑term reliability.

This kit utilizes the proven design of the Mishimoto 2‑Port Compact Baffled Oil Catch Can, featuring a 50‑micron bronze filter and an internal baffle to separate oil from crankcase vapors. A CNC‑machined lid with enlarged inlet and outlet ports matches the inner diameter of the factory CCV hose for optimal flow. By preventing oil vapors from entering the intercooler, intake system, and VANOS components, the catch can helps maintain proper octane levels and reduces the risk of detonation.

The system includes two direct‑fit hoses that require no modification to the engine cover and a billet aluminum mounting bracket that positions the can in a convenient, serviceable location. The bracket is available in multiple BMW‑specific color‑matched options or classic black. Two aluminum 3/4‑inch barb fittings provide secure hose connections. As with all Mishimoto catch cans, this kit is backed by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

Unlike heated air‑oil separators, the Mishimoto catch can allows all blow‑by vapors to condense inside the can, including low‑octane oil mist and contaminated fuel vapors.
